With the help of the packaging supplies bought from BOXXIT, the couple seems to be happy and sorted
Tips for making your move easy

1. Room by room

The most essential part of the packing process is that you start packing your house room by room. If you have 3 bedrooms in your house, start with bedroom 1, finish, and then move on to the next one. This way it becomes easier for you to sort things out without any confusion. To prevent knick-knacks and small items from being lost or mistakenly thrown out with the packing paper, wrap them in brightly-coloured tissue paper.

2. Don't delay packing

We often tend to think, ah it's just packing I'll do it a day before moving the house. Guess what happens? You panic and then the result is just MESSY packing. You should start at least a week prior to your move, and start with items that are least essential for your daily life. Then gradually, build the pace until completion.

3. Label the boxes

Label boxes on the top and on the sides, writing a general description of contents and the room name. Additionally, you can also use different coloured markers to distinguish between the rooms. This will make the job easy for you and your movers.

4. Use packing paper

You don't want to be in shock when you open your items after moving and see them spoiled just because you wrapped with newspaper. Newspapers may bleed ink onto your possessions. Use white packing paper.

5. Stick to using moving boxes

Use boxes that are designed for moving. The boxes you take from the grocery or other stores are usually dirty and might not be able to hold the weight of your items. These stores often have varying box sizes which are not recommended for moving. It makes the moving process difficult.

6. Some items can't be moved

Know what you can't pack. Some common household items, due to their hazardous nature can't be moved.

It may be illegal to put them on a truck and you may be slapped with charges.

7. Moving valuables

Don't box up everything. You must personally transport legal papers, important documents (ID documents, passport etc.), jewellery and other valuable items. Make it easier for yourself by knowing what shouldn't be packed in the moving boxes.

8. Get a moving package

Moving a house can be tedious and requires planning. It is not that you'll need just 5 or 6 boxes and you'll be done. There are packages as per your house size (number of bedrooms) available in the market. Moving professionals know exactly how many boxes you'll need from a few minutes chat with you. See our available packages for moving. You can either purchase or hire the boxes required.
